Join Art Mentors at our Huntington Beach studio and draw world-class models while enjoying great wine, snacks and music. Practice your drawing skills and mingle with fellow students and the Art Mentors staff.
Models will begin with short dynamic poses, and progress to longer poses. Models will alternate from week to week, and will include males and females. Artists can choose between standing at an easel or sitting at a drawing horse/bench.
New Masters Academy founder Joshua Jacobo will host and be available to help one-on-one with your work. The original Drink & Draw Figure Drawing event SOLD OUT, and we're bringing it back by popular demand. There are only 20 seats available for this event, and we expect that space will fill up fast, so sign up now to avoid missing out.
This is an open class so any materials are fine, but here are some recommendations:
Drawing board 18 x 24 smooth newsprint (must be smooth)
18 x 24 tracing paper
Charcoal pencils:
-Conté à Paris, B black or 2B black or…
-STABILO CarbOthello Pastel Pencil, Neutral Black or Lamp Black
Kneaded eraser
Razor blades
Sanding pad or sandpaper
Masking tape
Sales are non-refundable but in some cases we can switch a student’s enrollment in a class that has not yet started to another class of equal or lesser value. Art Mentors reserves the right to cancel, limit enrollment, substitute instructors or models, reschedule or modify a class with notice to enrolled students. If a class is canceled enrolled students will be given a refund. If an instructor is unable to finish a class term a refund will be given to students at a pro-rated amount.

A.This class is for all levels, from the total beginner to the working professional artist. There’s no better time to learn good drawing habits!

Q.Is there an age limit on who can attend this class?
A.Yes, because there will be alcohol present, all attendees must be at least 21 years old or be accompanied by a parent.

Q.What kind of wine and snacks are provided?
A.We will be serving a rotating selection of reds and whites, as well as a variety of cheeses, crackers, and breads.

Q.Is there live music this time?
A.We will have music played over a sound system rather than a live musical performance.

A.Yes!

Q.What's the maximum class size?
A.We’re capping the class at 20 students to ensure that everyone has an optimal experience.

Q.Can I pay class by class rather than all in advance?
A.At this time, no. We price our Drink & Draw events to be as affordable as possible, but you must pay in advance to get your seat.
