Glenn Vilppu is an internationally renowned draftsman, painter, and instructor. This class is based on the Renaissance tradition of visual storytelling, which offers you a rich understanding of the complex subject of composition in fine art. You will learn the fundamentals of visual organization for moving the eye through the picture to create an experience. Glenn will lecture, demonstrate, and analyze the Old Masters in his usual straightforward and concise style as he digs down to the practical tools of composition and how they can be applied to your own work.

You will benefit from Glenn’s generous teaching style as he provides informative lectures and thorough analysis of Old Masters.Full Access participants can upload photos of their weekly work into the class chatroom before Saturday 10:00am PST and get a full critique from Glenn, where he will trace over your drawings and provide individualized feedback. You can watch the recordings on your own time, and you do not have to participate in the critiques if you don’t want to.

The class recording will be available for your viewing every Monday at 10:00am PST. You will receive online access to the recording of the lecture portion for one year or six months depending on your purchase plan. This is helpful to reinforce the principles of each week, and to catch any concepts you may have missed the first time around.
