Glenn Vilppu is an internationally renowned draftsman, painter, and instructor. In this class, students will learn Glenn’s world-famous approach to drawing the figure. He will teach a Renaissance approach that emphasizes gesture and movement. You will learn to analyze movement and form, not just copy it, which allows you to work better from imagination. You will also learn how to use simple forms like spheres, cylinders, and boxes to build solid, three-dimensional figures.

You will benefit from Glenn’s generous teaching style as he provides informative lectures and beautiful demonstrations. Full Access participants can upload photos of their weekly work into the class chatroom before Saturday 10:00am PST and get a full critique from Glenn, where he will trace over your drawings and provide individualized feedback. You can watch the recordings on your own time, and you do not have to participate in the critiques if you don’t want to.

The class recording will be available for your viewing every Monday at 10:00am PST. You will receive online access to the recording of the lecture portion for one year or six months depending on your purchase plan. This is helpful to reinforce the principles of each week, and to catch any concepts you may have missed the first time around.
