Charles Hu is a figurative artist and notable art instructor with over a decade of experience teaching figure, anatomy, and head drawing and painting.

In this class, Charles will teach head drawing for beginners. You will learn everything you need to know to help you better understand the structure of the head and face so you can create beautiful and accurate head drawings

Charles will begin with the very basics, going over proportions and structure of the head and key landmarks of the face. He will cover applying the laws of light to the head and face, and drawing the head in different perspectives. You will also learn how to achieve likeness and tackle various facial expressions.

You will benefit from Charles’ generous teaching style as he provides informative lectures and many different demonstrations each class. Charles will spend much of the time working one-on-one with students, so you can get the most out of the material he has covered.

This class is available both as an in-person experience and live streaming online event. Live streaming students will have the opportunity to watch live, submit images for live critique by Charles and ask questions.
