Chris Legaspi is a fine artist obsessed with drawing and painting. With over 30 years of drawing and painting experience, Chris’ passion for art continues to grow.

Having studied with many great artists including Steve Huston, Mark Westermoe, Nathan Fowkes, and Zhaoming Wu, Chris is on the path to becoming a world-class draftsman and painter.

Along with his rich and extensive training in traditional drawing and painting, Chris also enjoys success as a concept designer for the videogame industry. His work can be seen in several hit video games, books, and magazines. Chris is also a regular contributor to illustration publications Imagine FX Magazine and 3D Total.

Chris has a passion for sharing his knowledge of art, drawing, and picture making. Having taught privately and at several top schools in Los Angeles, Chris is an admired and sought after instructor. Along with his classes at New Masters Academy, Chris is also faculty at Gnomon, which is the top visual effects school in America.

Besides creating art and teaching, Chris is an advocate for healthy living and longevity. He also creates content and writes a monthly newsletter for his popular art instruction blog, Freshdesigner.com.

Sales are non-refundable but in some cases we can switch a student’s enrollment in a class that has not yet started to another class of equal or lesser value. Art Mentors reserves the right to cancel, limit enrollment, substitute instructors or models, reschedule or modify a class with notice to enrolled students. If a class is canceled enrolled students will be given a refund. If an instructor is unable to finish a class term a refund will be given to students at a pro-rated amount.

    A.The class is not streamed live. You will receive a new video each week that has been recorded and edited for your viewing.

    A.This class is recommended for artists of all levels!

  • Q.Will I get reference images to work from?

    A.If you choose the Full Access option for $299, you will get new reference images to work from each week. Standard Access participants do not receive reference images.

  • Q.Will I be able to submit my work for Chris to critique?

    A.If you choose the Full Access option, you will be able to send in your work each week for Chris to critique. Standard Access participants do not have the ability to submit work for critique.
