Join us November 1st for a 3-day Still Life Painting Workshop in Huntington Beach, CA. Joe will teach you the process of painting a realistic still life in oil using the sight-size method. You will gain more control over color, space, and light with a structured approach.

This is an intimate workshop and students will receive one-on-one critiques. Whether you are a beginner or professional painter, Joseph can help you create better still lifes.

About The Instructor

Joseph Altwer is a traditional realist oil painter born in California in 1984. Joseph began his studies in 2005, at the Florence Academy of art, where he also taught for several years. Altwer's style of painting has a foundation in traditional techniques with an impressionist palette, in which most of his paints, canvases and mediums are made himself. Whether painting plein air or still life and interiors in his studio, Altwer prefers to work from life as he considers it to be the true source of beauty. Joseph also currently teaches at the online art school, New Masters Academy.

Materials

Unless otherwise specified in the product descrtipion, students are responsible for obtaining all required materials.

Cancelations

Art Mentors reserves the right to cancel, limit enrollment, substitute instructors or models, reschedule or modify a class with notice to enrolled students.

If a class is canceled enrolled students will be given a refund. If an instructor is unable to finish a class term a refund will be given to students at a pro-rated amount.

Refunds

Sales are non-refundable but in some cases we can switch a student’s enrollment in a class that has not yet started to another class of equal or lesser value.
