Short Pose Figure Drawing with Steve Huston

This workshop is now over. You will have access to the video recordings and reference photos, but you cannot submit your work for critique from the instructor. 

In this one-of-a-kind workshop event, world-famous figurative painter Steve Huston will teach you his approach to drawing the figure. We will focus on shorter pose figure drawings, concentrating on establishing gesture, structure, characteristic shapes, solid construction, and clear value ranges. Workshop attendees will be working from live models where you will to draw alongside Steve. The workshop will consist of lecture, demonstrations, and student critiques, along with plenty of live drawing time.

All students will receive a high quality recording of the workshop through the Art Mentors web site for one year after the workshop dates with an option to renew access.

By the end of this workshop you will be able to draw from life or photographs with more confidence and solidity. Your drawings will read more clearly, and you’ll have simple-to-apply approaches to dealing with complex subject matter.
